In 2026, Dr. Gholdy Muhammad will release her first ever curriculum for Grades K-5, featuring engaging multicultural literature and layered text to support genius and joy.
This literacy-based curriculum blends the science of reading with culturally and historically responsive learning, built on a foundation of sharing powerful stories, learning standards and skills, developing content-aligned knowledge, and cultivating genius and joy. Additionally, there are extensions for Art, Mathematics, Physical Education/Health, Science, and Social Studies.

Students will engage in unique weekly learning to advance their creative and critical thinking. Each unit plan engages the local community and families, and each text and theme connect to the real world. Each student receives their own Genius and Joy Journal for daily pursuit-driven writing.
